Kiev Medical University
Kiev Medical University (KMU)is founded in 1992 and it is the first private medical university in the post-Soviet countries.
KMU is ranked 1st in TOP-10 BEST PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES.
KMU is ranked 8th amongst 200 universities based on the average passing score level of Ukrainian citizens of External Independent Assessment.
KMU is ranked 11th amongst 126 private universities according to the number of admitted students on the contract base.
In 2020 the number of graduate and postgraduate students has increased to over 3700 participants.
The atmosphere in the University is unique and diverse as students represent 62 countries.
In 2017 KMU opened its branch "Kharkov Institute of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences".
In 2019 KMU opened its branch "Dnipro Institute of Medicine and Public Health".
The number of the graduates is over 5000.
KMU provides education in the field of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy as well as a preparatory course for international students. Postgraduate education is delivered in 22 specialties in Internship (Residency), 14 specialties in PhD, 60 specialties in Clinical Residency and Doctorate program is available in most of the healthcare specialties.
KMU students can benefit from ERASMUS+ program that supports education, training, youth and sport in Europe by studying, training, and gaining experience in our partnering university in Poland.
International and Ukrainian students are greatly integrated in the cultural and sport life of the University and are taking leading positions in various contests.
The training takes place in 22 departments, 13 of which are clinical, located in the best communal, governmental and private hospitals in Kyiv city.
KMU has been an official testing center of TOEFL exams since 2004.
KMU regularly organizes open seminars with well-known foreign speakers and Ukrainian prominent health care specialists.
KMU is a partaker of the project sponsored by the US government supported by the Center of Socially Dangerous Diseases.
KMU is recognized by the World Health Organization, Medical Council of India, General Medical Council, UNESCO, The Association of Medical Schools in Europe, European University Association, British Medical Association and the German Medical Association.
